You’re Not Ready for What’s Happening on PowWows.com This Week

Hope you made it through the storm and all the winter weather this weekend okay. We got lucky on our end, just a little ice and a few road closures, but no power issues and nothing that turned into a big mess. After watching what some areas dealt with, I’m definitely grateful. How did you do where you are? Pow wow season is already rolling, and we’ve got a fun weekend coming up. We’ll be streaming from two different locations, the Seminole Tribal Fair in Hollywood, Florida, and the Big Mac...

Upcoming Pow Wows, Native Tour, and more on PowWows.com

I’m back home after a week in Orlando at Podfest, and it feels good to be back in my own space again. Podfest is always one of those trips that fills my cup. Getting to see old friends, sitting in on great sessions, and making some new connections reminded me why I love this whole creator community world so much. Do you listen to podcasts? If so, which ones are in your regular rotation right now? For me, it finally feels like 2026 is really getting started. Getting the flu right around New...

Pow Wow Calendar Newsletter Edition This newsletter is sent out on the 1st and 15th of the month (or around those days) and includes all the Pow Wows from our calendar for the next 3 months. I’m in Florida this week, and let me tell you… it is NOT the Sunshine State right now. 😅 This morning it was 35 degrees outside. I was standing there waiting for my ride absolutely freezing. It’s nice not having that oppressive summer heat, but this might be a little too cold for me in Florida. I’m down...

January is already off to a great start over here. We kicked off 2026 with our first live stream of the year at Pechanga Pow Wow, and y’all… it was viewed by over a million people from 127 countries. That still doesn’t feel real to type. If you missed any of it (or just want to relive it), you can click here to watch the replay. And seriously, don’t skip the Fancy Shawl special. Pow Wow Calendar Newsletter Edition This newsletter is sent out on the 1st and 15th of the month (or around those days) and includes all the Pow Wows from our calendar for the next 3 months. I’ve been home for the holidays, and it’s been a pretty quiet week between Christmas and New Year’s. Mostly because I got knocked out with the flu after we got back from our Walt Disney World trip. The kind where you start feeling better, get your hopes up… and then your body says, “Not so fast.” 😅 I just...

Upcoming Pow Wows, 30th Anniversary, Native Gifts on Etsy, Travel Guide and more on PowWows.com

We spent Christmas in Florida this year to be close to our daughter. She had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but we were still able to grab some time together after her shifts. The holidays definitely look different these days, but being together, even in small pockets of time, still means everything. She’ll be flying home next week so she can spend some time with her grandmothers. Is it just me, or did 2025 fly by? It’s hard to believe we’re down to the last few days of the year...
