I’m writing this from I-95 on the drive home after an incredible weekend in Orlando at the Momentum Workshop & Retreat. I learned so much, made new connections, and got to hang out with friends. I’m mentally wiped out, but weekends like this always refill my creative tank and remind me why I love what I do.
You may have seen me mention that I’ve been testing something new. It’s almost ready to launch, but if you want early access, hit reply and I’ll make sure you’re one of the first to try it out.
We’ll be home for a couple of weeks before heading to Durant, Oklahoma, for the Choctaw Cultural Festival and Pow Wow—can’t wait to share that experience with you soon.
And don’t forget — the Explore Native Challenge has started! 👉 www.powwows.com/win
We’re giving away three Eighth Generation blankets, plus jewelry and more. The best part? Each day has fun challenges that help you learn more about Native culture, history, and creators. And yes, you can enter daily for extra chances to win!
Thanks,

Over 15 years ago, the founders of Tocabe: An American Indian Eatery are on a mission to share their knowledge and passion for the Indigenous culture through food. They also have a desire to make these foods more accessible to the public, outside of their location.
Tocabe is the only American Indian-owned and operated restaurant in the downtown Denver area. When you visit Tocabe, you’ll soon realize it is more than just a restaurant; it’s an educational experience. With each meal, that is offered it’s evident that the owners are focused on educating patrons on Indigenous culture while also being their go-to resource for healthy, locally sourced food and ingredients.
So many of us seek the answer to that question. We turn to ancestry and genealogy websites to try and trace our history or perform a Google search of surnames to attempt to find out more about our heritage. It can be tough to find any concrete information.
For those who revere Native American culture, The Lakota Way 2026 Wall Calendar features contemporary and traditional artwork by Lakota and Iroquois artist Jim Yellowhawk. Along with vibrant art, each month includes history and wisdom from Joseph M. Marshall III, a Native American Indian teacher, historian, Lakota craftsman, and author.

Choctaw Heritage Festival
If you’re anywhere near Oklahoma this month, you’ll definitely want to make plans to visit the Choctaw Cultural Center for their Choctaw Heritage Festival!
This special event celebrates Choctaw history, culture, and traditions with hands-on activities, live demonstrations, stickball, social dancing, and storytelling. You’ll also find delicious traditional foods and the chance to connect with artists and community members sharing their crafts and knowledge.
It’s one of the best times to experience Choctaw culture in person — whether you’re local or looking for a weekend road trip.
