We're Back, Upcoming Pow Wow, Otter Turban Tutorial and Sioux Valley Live This Weekend
Published 4 days ago • 7 min read
Reader I'm back from my trip! We had such a great time celebrating our 30th anniversary. I've been posting a trip report for each day we were over there — if you want to follow along!
Now that I'm home, we're rolling out some new giveaways and other fun stuff to celebrate 30 years of PowWows.com.
Look for that in the next couple of days — still catching up on everything!
We've also got another live stream coming up this weekend from Sioux Valley, so don't miss it. It's going to be another great weekend of dancing and singing.
Thanks,
Paul G PowWows.com
PS - I started a brand new free weekly newsletter called This Week Around Indian Country. Every Thursday, I hand-pick 10 news stories from across Indian Country and drop them straight in your inbox. Politics, culture, gaming, events, the stories that matter. It's free, it's weekly, and if you're not already on it, I'll drop a link below. First issue already went out and the response was great.
How to Make an Otter Fur Turban – Video Tutorial with The Wandering Bull

Our friends at The Wandering Bull put together a full step-by-step video showing exactly how a turban comes together — from a raw otter hide all the way to a finished piece ready for your beadwork and brooches.
If you've ever missed a pow wow because you just didn't know about it in time, this is for you.
