We’re live right now with the Prairie Unity Competition Pow Wow from Stride Place in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba and you can watch it from anywhere.
It’s a free event and the first of its kind in the region, created through a partnership between Long Plain First Nation, Dakota Plains Wahpeton Nation, and the City of Portage la Prairie as part of their Community Economic Development Initiative. It’s all about unity, healing, and building real connections through culture.
If you’ve never been to one, this is an amazing way to experience it. You’ll see powerful drum groups, incredible regalia, and dances that carry generations of strength and tradition.
