Upcoming Pow Wows, 30th Anniversary, Native Gifts on Etsy, Travel Guide and more on PowWows.com

We spent Christmas in Florida this year to be close to our daughter. She had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but we were still able to grab some time together after her shifts. The holidays definitely look different these days, but being together, even in small pockets of time, still means everything.

She’ll be flying home next week so she can spend some time with her grandmothers.

Is it just me, or did 2025 fly by? It’s hard to believe we’re down to the last few days of the year already.

Looking ahead, 2026 is going to be a huge year for us at PowWows.com. We’re celebrating 30 years, and I’m already working behind the scenes on our biggest giveaway ever. Our 30th anniversary celebration will run through June, July, and August, and trust me, you’ll want to be part of it. If you want to be the first to hear about everything, you can join the waiting list here.

Our new community, The Circle, is also growing fast. We’re now over 275 members, and the conversations in there have been incredible. If you haven’t checked it out yet, jump in and join the conversation. It’s free, and we’d love to have you.

And one more fun thing before we turn the page on the year. Our 30th anniversary merch is officially live. You can check it out here:

Thanks!

Disney Destiny Trip Report - Day At Sea

I’ve been meaning to go back and finish this trip report for a while now. Between trip to Disneyland, the holidays, and then heading down to Florida to spend Christmas with Brooke, that last Disney Destiny post just got away from me. But I really wanted to come back and wrap it up, because honestly, this ended up being one of the best days of th...

Disney Destiny Trip Report – Day 3: Castaway Cay

Disney Destiny Trip Report – Day 3: Castaway Cay

Today was our Castaway Cay day, but we kept things pretty laid back. Kelli decided to stay on the ship to catch up on work and try to get her body back on track. Spain, a night in DFW, and then jumping onto a cruise two days later will mess with anyone’s time zones. Brooke and I headed out to the island for a little beach time. We grabbed froze...

This Week in Native History - December 15, 2025

Every week, I like to pause and look back at what happened “this week” across Native history, not because the past is past, but because it is still with us. Some stories are heavy. Some are inspiring. A lot are both at the same time. And the more we learn, the better we get at seeing Native communities as living, growing nations and cultures, no...
