Happy Monday Reader,
We made it back home last night from the Catawba Powwow up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and I’ve got to say, we had an absolutely great time.
They put on a really good Powwow, and after talking with folks in the community, you can tell they are putting real effort into growing this event and making it one of the highlights on the East Coast.
It was exciting to see them bring it back to Rock Hill, and it looks like they’ll be at the Winthrop Coliseum for the next few years, which is a great facility. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this Powwow continues to grow.
If you didn’t get to catch any of our coverage, remember you can always head over to our YouTube channel and watch the replay. Over the next few weeks, we’ll also be adding clips from all of the contests, so stay tuned for those.
Reader I also want to ask for your help with something.
Our 2026 Pow Wow Guide is out now and available as a digital download or in a printed version, and the printed copies are shipping now.
But I’d love to know this: what else would help you?
What questions do you have about Pow Wows, Native culture, attending events, traveling, dancing, regalia, etiquette, or anything else we cover here?
Are there other guides, digital products, books, courses, or resources you’d love for us to create?
Just hit reply and let me know.
Seriously, I’d love to hear from you. Your feedback will help us create resources that actually answer your questions and help you have a better experience.
And one more thing.
If you’re an entrepreneur, working on a side hustle, or trying to grow your business, I want you to know I also offer one-on-one coaching and consulting.
I help people grow through email marketing, community building, and social media in a way that actually connects with people and gets results.
So if you’ve been feeling stuck, frustrated, or like you should be seeing better results from what you’re doing, reply to this email and let’s talk.
I’d love to hear what you’re working on and see how I can help.

A joyful exploration of a child’s loving relationship with the land that supports and nurtures her as she grows You Are the Land is a vivid ode to belonging within a family, within a community, and within the natural world. From the day she’s born, a child feels the love and power that come with being part of something bigger. She’s a new spring leaf, alive and growing, as strong as the ancient cedars and as radiant as the glittering night sky. She is one with the amazing forces of nature that surround and nurture her, and that she nurtures in return. Through inspiring words and sweeping illustrations, renowned artist Steph Littlebird’s stunning debut celebrates our connection to the land and shows how we perfectly mirror its beauty and resilience.

Question, we are planning a vacation in August and will be headed to Bardstown, Williamstown, and the Lexington area of Kentucky. Any suggestions on history sites or museums that we could visit while we are in the area.
Friday night movie. I'm watching Incident at Oglala on Prime. I didn't know that John Trudell lost his 3 children, wife, and mother-in-law 😞 So many native lives lost. Sad time in history.
Good morning or evening wherever this great Circle may be! I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on all the intellectual, teaching, and wondering people in this fantastic group to have a wonderful and special weekend Free of strife and problems and I wish every one was a special as this group!
